Tet will provide cybersecurity services to essential providers as part of the CYSSDE programme
Latvian technology and innovation company Tet has won a project competition titled “Tet Cybersecurity for Essential Service Operators Ensuring Latvian Public Safety”. With co-financing from the European Union (EU), Tet will deliver penetration testing and vulnerability diagnostics to several clients who applied as NIS2, NKDL, DORA entities or SMEs.
The project aims to reduce the potential impact of vulnerabilities by identifying them through targeted activities and preparing clients to effectively manage and mitigate cybersecurity risks—ensuring operational continuity and safeguarding public safety.
““Given Latvia’s relatively small territory, the most significant companies subject to NIS2 or DORA regulations are often leading players in their respective industries, influencing a broad segment of society. Ensuring the continuity of their operations is therefore essential for both public safety and national stability. By addressing immediate cybersecurity challenges and laying the foundation for long-term resilience, this project will make a substantial contribution to the protection of critical entities, strengthening their security and stability and, in turn, safeguarding society as a whole,” emphasized Tet CEO Uldis Tatarčuks.
Throughout the project, Tet will conduct penetration tests and vulnerability assessments. End-users will receive a comprehensive report detailing key findings, highlighting identified weaknesses and their potential severity. The report will also include specific, actionable recommendations for risk mitigation and long-term security strategies.
In total, Tet will deliver services to ten organizations, performing 41 penetration tests and seven vulnerability assessments. These activities will focus on critical infrastructure, essential and important services, as well as SMEs across various sectors—including high-tech devices, fintech, and healthcare.
By integrating innovative methodologies, the project will significantly enhance the cybersecurity resilience of Latvia’s critical entities, ensuring their operational continuity and contributing to overall public safety.
The project will be implemented from September 15, 2025, to March 15, 2027.
Penetration and vulnerability diagnostics are carried out with support from the EU and the CYSSDE initiative.
